If you’re a parent and your trying each and every day to love your child, feed them and keep them safe — sometimes even just from themselves — then I’d like to give you a round of applause! I salute you! If you and your children survived another day then hats off to you! If your child is anything like mine has been lately then ze may have some new scrapes or bruises and there may have been some screaming and crying at some point in the day — but if you still got ze into bed to have a good nights rest then I’m here to tell you that you’re amazing! Way to go, friend! No matter how much we try to strike a balance between allowing them to explore and keeping them safe, there will always be times when they just really stick there foot in it! The past little while has been rather eventful for us here. In a nutshell, within the past two weeks my daughter, Audrey, sprained her wrist, I had to take her to the ER 2 separate times for X-rays, she fell at a birthday party and suffered a mild concussion and now has a hell of a lot of mucus, a fever & vomited last night because she ate pizza. Then, this afternoon she opened the sliding glass door so hard that she managed to get her sprained hand stuck between the two doors — all the way up to her wrist!! Think, deafening screams at this point. We were both so scared of what the outcome could’ve been. I secured her hand, iced it down and helped her feel better. Lets just take a moment of silence before we go any further, please. ::breathe:: Wow... Just, wow. I’d like to say right now that I am so very grateful that she is safe, healthy and alive. I realize that not everyone’s kids are. I realize how so very blessed I am and I thank my lucky stars every day for her. I realize how privileged and blessed we are and I am grateful each and every day for the blessings in my life. All said and done, congratulations on getting through another day. You are blessed beyond measure. May we learn from each day, support and help each other at every step of the way and may our children know how very much they’re loved. Peace, love and plants. ✌️💖🌱
